I went to the Derby last night with Chi-Yoon and was got what I expected… three bad bands in a row.

But then out of nowhere…The Reform School Girls took the stage and blew me away. If you like The Detroit Cobras, you should check these girls out! They are fantastic and fun and completely sexy!

Then, Dolorata from San Francisco played and they were great too.

Violinist Emily Palen blew me away. She’s got this completely passionate evil sound that makes you think of that old Wooly Swamp at midnight. So go check out there music here.

And this is the incredibly sexy and talented Emily Palen.

So it’s now my humble opinion that girls bands are saving rock.

ok so now we are sending these things into space…

Is that smart? Scientists are amazed that they can survive solar radiation without a space suit. OK, but I’m wondering, what if solar radiation makes them freaking gigantic and smart and hungry? Another thing is they are called “Water Bears”. The first thing that the name brings to mind (at least my mind) is this:
